Been VERY Busy

-- 12 January 2007 [Friday]

This week has just flown by, so I'm not going to try to go back and update the past days, as I won't remember. I have a headache right now from work, today has been that bad. It's the last day of our QA cycle, and of course a bug was found, so we are scrambling. We had a lot of people resign from work this week. Mike Stocks, Doug Jones and Mary Thorn. All shocking as they have all been here a long time and were good people.

The cutest thing I recall from this week, is on Thursday when my phone rang at work, and it was Keegan - 'Dad, why did you put butter on my sweet roll? I don't like butter on my sweet roll?' I had the biggest smile on my face. That morning I had packed his lunch and as a treat I thought I would put a little bit of real butter on his Hawain Roll that the kids love so much. But apparently those are the ONLY bread type things he doesn't like butter on, as that night he ate bread and butter with dinner. It was very cute and made me smile.

Carson got a cold on Tuesday night, so he stayed home from school on Wednesday and Friday this week. He stayed in his pajamas all day Wednesday and Thursday - he thought that was a treat, but Amanda finally made him change out of them into clothes today. :)

It's been very cold for North Carolina the past two days. Temps down into the 20's at night.

I finally found the issue with the Ural not starting - traced it to a disconnected wire in the headlight bulb. I need to resolder it though and that is turning out to be a chore as there is no room to work in there and the wire is very short.

That's all I can recall from this past week. We'll see what next week brings.

Not much happened this day that I can recall. Wasn't near as nice out as it was on Saturday. I believe we just bummed around, but I can't recall for certain,

A gorgeous day out today! We loaded up the bikes and went to the Oxford Hunt pool parking lot to resume our hunt for the hidden GPS cache. We finally found it this time!!! I was so excited to get this one finally. It was easier with the leaves down and knowing the bugs were not around for the most part as compared to summer when we originally looked.

After that we all took our bikes on the paved trail which runs all the way to Bond Park. It was quite a nice time and the kids did great. We then played a little on the nearby playground and then Keegan and I (as Ian and Carson were tired) continued on the GPS hunt for cache #2. We didn't find that one though, but it was a neat walk farther on the trail which we have never been. We'll have to go back and find it eventually. There are four parts to this hunt.

On Friday we went out to dinner to Abby Road grill. It was good food and a nice time.
