Amazing. Amazing how fast time goes. It's the old cliche I know, but as I age, I understand. The last couple of nights have been a whirlwind of ... nothing, yet time has flown by. Trying to paint the family room with Amanda, your mother, getting erands run, etc.

Keegan helped me change a closet doorknob out. A simple job - five minutes, quickly turned into a thirty minute task. But Keegan wants to help with any and everything - and he's only 22 months old. Of course I love to have him help - hold the screwdriver, hold the screws we remove, help screw in the the new screws. It's rewarding for me to see him learn, to see his fascination with new things - and he can't be torn away from the task, not with television, not with food, not with distracting noises from nearby. A simple doorknob, one he learned long ago how to open and close. Behind it lay the family food pantry, which among other things contain his fun snacks.

Carson, you continue to sleep and eat. At two months, that's what we should expect. You are much more alert now and getting more so by the day. I can already see changes in your physical appearance. Life is amazing and so are you.

I'm going to the auto show today after work. Just to look things over. Always liked mechanical things and cars fit right in with that. We eventually will need to make a vehicle change or two. My wifes aging 1995 Saturn SL2. I drive it more than she does now. It's good on gas compared to my Silverado 4x4, and when gas at 87 octance is running about $1.61 a gallon that's good.
