Still Going and Going and Going
-- 12 February 2007 [Monday]
Finally found out about the re-org at work today. A lot of new managers and I'm reporting to Kiersten Grey now so that works out fine by me. I wish I would have had an offer for a manager position, but no such thing. If I would have stayed in the Services team I am sure I would have been offered it, but who would have known things would change so much within the 6 months since I left. Found out that they are reducing our 401k matching as well, which is a bummer, but also told we would get a small bonus (which will really just offset our reduced 401k match). But better than nothing. At least I am still employed as well.
Leaving at 5pm today to pick up Keegan from Timothy's house. His mom called last night asking if he could come over after school. I'm very excited for him and hope he does well. It was his last day at school before track out starts so he's excited about that too, and throw in there Valentines Day exchange and he had a lot going on today. I'm anxious to hear his stories when I get home.
Amanda found out that the front desk lady at Dr. Dunsmoors quit. So she is going to fill in again on nights and any free time during the day she feels like it. Very nice for us to get the extra money and I get some free time at home with the kids on top of it. She seemed excited about doing it as well, as it's a change of pace for her and most of it is done when the office is closed and quiet!

Started the morning off by tearing about the downstairs bathroom. Got all the wallpaper stripped and the light fixture off. We just have to clean the walls with a wet cloth and patch the holes then get some paint and a new light fixture. We also want to get a new sink top and then finally redo the bathroom floor with ceramic tile. I hope to have it done by the end of March!
After that we went out to lunch at Wendy's on our way to BJ's for our big shopping trip. We ended up spending $175 at BJ's! The most ever, but Amanda was buying double and triple of things as she does not want to renew the membership. I just wish we had more room to store all of that stuff until we need it.
Amanda and I watched a NetFlix movie as that subscription started up again. I'm tempted to stop it after we catch up on the Soprano's. Just too much to watch and I don't want to feel tied to the TV like I do now.

Busy day for us. Left the house around 10am, got home around 4pm. We went downtown to the Science Museum. Kids loved it as we haven't been there in ages. Ian especially had a blast. We then headed over to Playspace and again they loved it. They didn't want to leave, but Ian could hardly keeps his eyes open, but he just wouldn't stop playing. We had to drag him out but he fell asleep within minutes of being in the car.
Stopped at the library on the way home to drop off/renew our books and then called it a night at home for the rest.

Nothing much new that I can remember. Same old same old I believe.
