October is here...

At work again today as usual. Rode the Guzzi in. About 60 this morning, but very nice and sunny. Suppose to be 80 or so when I leave.
Work was work. Day went faster than normal, but at the end of the day I was told a feature was added that I'm responsible for in 4.6 so I wasn't too happy about that.

Nice day out. We went to Bond Park around Noon today to go fishing! I was excited. We caught three fish (we'll I did) and I let each of the kids real one in. They loved it. Even Ian got into it and wanted no help in holding the pole or anything. He got really frustrated when you tried to help. After fishing we tried to feed the ducks but they weren't interested. They were so full they didn't even come over to see what we had. So we all got in the truck and went to Wendy's for lunch which was pretty good. Keegan and Carson were misbehaving a bit as usual - they really wind each other up. On their own they are so much better behaved when we are out. After lunch we went back to Bond Park to play on the slids a bit and then at 3pm we went to the arts shelter in the park for a puppet play about pirates that happened to be there. It was pretty neat but we only stayed for about 20 min. The boys were Ok with going then, but Amanda and I both were very happy to see how much they all enjoyed it in the begining after we basically had to drag them over there as they didn't want to leave the playground. We then left and found the new library that opened in Cary. Took us awhile to find it, but we did. Carson and Ian were asleep in the truck minutes after leaving the park, so only Keegan and I went in and picked out books. Nice library, but I think I prefer the one on route 64 instead. We didn't get home until nearly 5pm! It was nice to be gone all day. We had some dinner and then went on a walk, read some books and off to bed. Amanda and I finished watching "Long Way Round". Great story. I'd love to have done that before we had kids. I would miss them too much now to be gone for the four months to do something like that.

Planting. That's what we did. Around 10am we went to the nursery on Old Apex road by our house and spent over an hour walking around picking up basically anything that grows in the shade. Bill came to $253. We went home and started planting it all in the mulch pile in the back. Wouldn't have been too bad except for the root. Made it less than enjoyable. Had lunch outside and planted somemore. Finally around 2pm I brought the kids in to have a bad while Ian fell asleep and Amanda finsihed planting which she much prefered instead of the bath routine. :) Looks really nice out there, now lets hope it grows!

Can't remember much as I'm writing this on 10/2. I worked I know that. We read some books, etc and ate dinner. I started to figure out how to adjust the timing on my Ural and took off the front cover and while out there, repaired a wire that had frayed - all this after the kids had went to bed of course.
