No Excuses ... but I have one

Crazy. This whole past week has been crazy. Please forgive me for not updating the entries since the 9th or so.
Just another busy work day. Almost done with this 'work package 224' as we call it here. It's the AutoRecruiter Command Line Tool which has consumed my days this whole past week. I hope to be done tomorrow and then RMS 4.6 starts.

I tried to go on a ride on the Ural this morning to get the oil nice and warm and come home and drain it. Got all dressed, tire pressures checked, rolled the bike out, sat on it, and nothing. Wouldn't even clicked. So started looking at wiring, etc. Though, well hopefully it's the battery, so got it all back in the garage and on the charger. Turns out it was the battery! Doh. But in the process I learned some more about the Ural. Took the headlight out and found all the wires and the ancient fuse box. What a mess of wires in there. More than usual because of the previous owners addition of the speakers and stereo system, which I'd love to remove - or at least relocate the speakers to inside the sidecar. It's farther down on my list of projects on the Ural though.
So off we all went to the Kids-Together park and had a great time. Turned out to be plenty warm in the mid 60's and lots of kids there. Stopped at BJ's then for some food items and gas and headed home for a nice lunch and play time with the kids.
At 4:30pm I left to meet Dawn and Pat at the movies!! I haven't been to a theather in over a year easily. I went to see 'FlyBoys' with them. Turns out to be a great movie I think. Got home around 7:30pm just in time to help Amanda put the kids in bed and read all their stories. I felt guilty watching the movie at times, but it was also nice for a change. Amanda just has no interest in seeing a movie and encouraged me to go, so it all turned out good. She took the kids to a walk to the YMCA while I was gone to kill some of the time and then had dinner with them.

Pumpkins. We got pumpkins for the kids! Had a great time again. Went to our usual place and found out this will be their last year as they sold most of their land to developers :( Amanda and I were really sad to hear that but can understand financially their decision. We have been going there for the past 5 or 6 years. I need to take Carson back for a hay ride this coming weekend while Keegans at some birthday parties for his classmates. Keegan got to go on a hayride on Friday on a school field trip and doesn't want to go on this one so that works out good. Just as we were leaving, we ran into Shana and John. Good timing. Her and Amanda talked for awhile. Keegan used to go to pre-school with Shana's daughter.

All I can remember is Keegan went on his first official off-campus field trip to a pumpkin patch in Durham and had a great time. They got to pick a pumpkin off the vine, go on a hayride, go through a small maze and eat their lunch under a tree on the property. Weather was a bit chilly during lunch he said, but he had a great time overall and had lots of 'stories' to tell us.

I can't remember anything special on these days as it's one week later I try to update this. Sorry! I know on Wednesday Keegan had his first "Field Day" at school where they do outside activities for half the day, and had a good time. He screamed and kicked though when I tried to bring him in the car in the morning. He was so scared of what was going to happen at school that day. He doesn't take to change very well, but we made him go and of course he had a great time with lots of stories to tell us when he got off the bus.
