Carson Turned Four !

I'm only working 1/2 day today as we have Carson's school birthday party at 2pm at Pump-It-Up. We couldn't get the Saturday reservation as they were booked months in advance. ugh. Now we know better for next time if we want to have it there again.
I'll leave at Noon, and then go pick Keegan up from school.

Grandma Starr had to go home tonight. She works tomorrow and unfortunately can't take a lot of time off as she does not have paid vacation. I feel very bad for the kids because of this, but not much we can do unless we move back..which I have thought of but Amanda does not want to.
Kids still had a great time today with her. Beautiful weather - 72F! They played outside all day and we had a nice lunch on the deck and then some more playing. Carson was so worn out from the last two days that he fell asleep at 4pm, and woke just in time to say bye to Grandma as Amanda, Keegan and Ian were taking her to the airport.

It's going to be a great day today, weather is perfect 70F, and Grandma Starr is coming. The kids couldn't be more excited! They all left around 9:30am to pick her up at the airport. Then it was play all day basically!
We had cheesecake for Carson's birthday 'cake' and 'lunch' - it was a real treat for them to have such a 'lunch'. :)
I didn't think the kids would last, but they managed to stay up to go to BullWinkles (he choose) for Carson's birthday dinner and playing. They did great there and had a good time. we left around 8pm and they were beat. Carson fell asleep in the car ride home. We stopped and showed the kids and Grandma the Christmas lights at the house where every year they hang a whole bunch of lighted decorations from the trees in their front yard. Really neat.

Worked as usual, helped Amanda clean house when I got home in preperation for her mom coming tomorrow.

Worked from home again today as I still was not feeling very well from the stomach flu yesterday. Glad I stayed home as I really felt bad later on. Finally by night I was getting a bit better.
-- 13 December 2006 [Wednesday]
Worked from home today, but felt aweful. Last night I came down with the stomach flu - same thing Keegan and Ian had. It was horrible. Threw up several times throughout the day. Amanda had to work until Noon, but then was home. I was so thankful she didn't have to work a full day today.
