December Already
-- 1 December 2006 [Friday]
Boy the time is going fast. I can't believe that it has already been over a week since Thanksgiving!
I called my parents today as we heard they get hit with their first big storm of the winter. Sure enough they said they had 12+ inches on the ground and it was still snowing. Luckily my dad was able to get the snowblower started as he told me he was having trouble with it when we was out. My mom even decided to stay home from work today which I'm thankful for.
I hope to head up to Harbor Freight store after work to finally use some of the coupons they keep emailing me. I keep trying to go on lunch but something always comes up, so tonight I'm determined to stop by there. I really want to get an IR Thermometer so I can see how hot the Ural cylinders are running.

Nothing exciting as far as me. Worked as usual. At night I finally started the process of taking the first of the Ural's carbs apart to try to figure out what's going on with the engine and to get it running smooth.
Keegan had one of his best friends - JACK - over to the house today to play with. He came over around 9:30am and stayed until 4:30pm Amanda said! They all had a terrific time and I wish I could have been there to hear the conversations they had between them. Amanda filled me in on some of them. Examle: While the kids were all sitting on the deck (it was 70F today) waiting for Amanda to bring them lunch, Jack said "Keegan, you have a really nice house." and Keegan replied "Yeah I know.". Cracks me up.

Worked at home today. Amanda only had to work for about two hours as she didn't have a full patient load. Worked out good as she could take my dad to the airport since his flight last night kept getting delayed until he just gave up and I brought him back to try again today. So he was able to leave on the earlier flight since she got home early.
I called Dish Network today to try to get a tech out to fix out 'no picture' issue. I was so very aggravated that they wanted to charge me $50 to fix their equipment that when it was all said and done, I just canceled the service instead. Then two hours later I called DirecTV and signed up with them. It cost me $21 for that (It would have been free, but I am not considered a new customer since we had them back in 2002). We downgraded to a single receiver as well since we never use the TV upstairs and hardly record two shows at a time. I'm happy about that and they will come next Wed (12/6) to install it in the morning.
I got to play with the kids a lot at home since work was slow. The kids were just exhausted tonight from the holidays and our traveling and having my dad at the house the whole time.
