Busy

Got a back/neck massage at work today. I had a FREE card given to me by my previous boss and wanted to use it. It was pretty good, but not nearly as good as I have gotten from others. She just didn't push hard enough. I think I like what they call 'deep tissue' massages better. Where they really push hard and get down into the muscle. This lady did give me a good idea though to get one of those band that are filled with some type of gell, and you heat it in the microwave and put it around your neck to relax those muscles. At only $8 I'm going to give that a try for at home.

It's been distracting at work today and the lady who occupies the cube across the aisle from me is Indian and has been on the phone all morning crying. She is having marital problems, mainly because it's a pre-arranged marriage. I feel bad for their one year old son the most. He just doesn't even know what's going on right now. Hopefully they will pull through it all and continue on for at least his sake.

I worked from home today. I'm going to start working from home every Wednesday from now on. Amanda is starting 1/2 day work at Dr. Dunsmoors at the end of September, so that will help us out on the financial end. Every little bit counts I tell her.

Being that I was home I got to drive Keegan to school in the morning and meet him at the bus stop on his way home. That was fun for me.

Had a very busy work day, but it didn't really start until the end of the day and after the kids went to bed I ended up working a couple more hours.

Amanda and I finished up the master bathroom cabinets last night. They look TERRIFIC to me! She really did a great job! Amanda still has to get used to them, but I think they look great! Being a lighter color has made the vanity feel so much bigger when in fact it hasn't changed. We both took the opportunity to go through the stuff in the cabinets too and get rid of things we don't use.

Kids got a bath last night and I cooked a meatloaf for dinner. It didn't turn out too good taste wise in my opinion, but Amanda and Carson liked it at least. Maybe if I had one of the beautiful Martha Stewart kitchens we saw last weekend it would have tasted better? :)

Called my parents last night (Tuesday) - but just my dad was home. My mom was getting ready for her trip out to visit Mick and Carl in Williamsburg, VA on Thursday. She'll return this Sunday. My parents are then planning on coming down Sept 14th - Sept 18th. The kids will love that and it should be a fun time. Amanda and I will go out to dinner while they watch them one night. I'm going to suprise her and take her to the Angus Barn, which neither of us has ever been too, it's suppose to be a fantastic steakhouse in Raleigh.
