Yawn
The title of this post explains my day at work so far. Part of our testing environment has been down since yesterday and the part I'm helping test needs it, so not much I can do but surf the web. And believe me, for all you people who think that sounds great - the web gets boring after a few hours of reading.
It's still hot outside today - 92F. We had a couple strong downpours yesterday but that just raised the humidity it seems.
Amanda's still been on the house hunt. I'm leaving her be. She found a house she really seemed to like and finally called the selling realtor today to find out it had already been sold. So that made that decision easy. I think she will continue to look, but in the meantime I'm going to move forward with the couple of projects I want to do to our house. In the event she finds another home she really seems to like, I'll stop what I'm doing, but I don't want to sit around and waste time and we just end up staying where we are. I have a list of what I want done to the house preferably this year (if we stay of course) and it goes likes this (in no particular order):
Ian and Alex (friends of Keegans and Carsons from their preschool) are coming over at 4:30pm today for an hour or so to play. It's a suprise for the kids and I'm sure they will enjoy it. It's been some time since they have played together, since Keegan is in year round school and these friends are not.
Ian (our Ian) had his 18 month checkup (a tad late) today. All's going well, and no shots so he was a happy boy. He should be talking some by now, but isn't. The doctor isn't too concerned though since Ian is actively using sign language, but to be safe we have to come back in three months. All the doctor will do at that point is give us a referral for a speech screening. Hopefully we won't need it, but we've been down this road before with Keegan so feel more comfortable this time with the process if needed.

- Redo master bath cabinets - sand down and whitewash them
- All new carpet in entire upstairs (hire out)
- Reface kitchen cabinets and have new countertop and sink installed (hire out)
- Get a new dining room table and chairs
- Build a breakfast nook for us, so all five of us can actually sit there at once without playing musical chairs
- Finally, totally renovate the downstairs bath and laundy room
